However, my only primary method of grinding out ISK is by running anomalies as missions (currently only have access to L2) do not pay me well enough, but my ships are not strong enough to complete any of the escalations I've been able to acquire. Any alternate way to make some fast cash? Hello and welcome back to Eve.
First make sure you've max trained the Core Fitting skills. Those will definitely help improve ship stats as well as make it easier for you to do good ship fits.
Secondly train up to to use T2 modules asap. With max Core Fitting skills and T2 modules, your ship should perform very well.
If you wanna run in God Mode, fit up Faction and Deadspace modules. Those usually make an otherwise unstable cap on active defensive tank very stable, not to mention giving the ship max stats.
You don't have to fit just one specific meta type module, you can mix T2 with Faction and Deadspace. Do mock fit ups in a 3rd party app like EFT (Eve Fitting Tool) that's able to import your characters skills before actually wasting time and ISK in-game.
Lastly since you're running Anomalies I believe your escalations are DED Complexes. Just remember that Eve Online has a bad habit of sending you to a higher level of escalation. I always say get pre-flight intel first before going in blind. Do a google search and read up on the complex and NPC's. Take a good look at your piloting technique verses ship fit verses landing zone of complex.
Are you set up for snip / long range action when being dropped into the middle of a rat pack ? If so change fitting to do short range high damage. Also make sure to buff the tank since you're basically a sitting target.
Are you running a mix tank with shield and armor defenses? If so then pick one and max that choice with other modules that boost that type of tank.
Are you set up to deal out rat specific DPS as well as tank incoming specific DPS? Google search for specific NPC types encountered and fit accordingly.
Are you being swamped and over-whelmed by massive amounts of NPC's? If so, consider having a couple of Corp-mates / friends run the complexes with you until you upgrade into higher skills and better ships.
I hope this helps, may you have a successful and more rewarding career this time around.
